Simple Zipper Purse

I was very upset with the kids last night and couldn't sleep. Decided to sew myself a simple purse (an overdue project) which I can bring along when I go for my brisk walking.

I'm using a small coin purse now which is what I can find to fit in my small waist pouch. It is stuffed with notes, coins, a few cards and keys which makes it rather difficult to use.

I handsewn this simple zipper purse which big enough to hold all my stuff and small enough to fit in my waist pouch.  It's fully lined, comes with a zipper and a magnetic button on the front flap. Having the flap is to just make the simple purse looks prettier; totally redundant. :P  It's the same size as my Note 2.

I recycled a blouse I bought for CNY (hence there's a Chinese Knot button) that I can no longer fit in. :(   I have upsized. :P

All materials used were recycled except for the zipper and the sewing thread of course.

Snuggled up with my mobile phone in my little waist pouch.

Zipper Purse

I got the idea of making this zipper purse from the Macaron Bag Charm I made not too long ago.

This is made for my daughter, who needs a slot for her school pass and a zipper pocket for coins. She requested for a sling so she can sling it to her wrist, which I had that made too.

Most of this purse are hand sewn. I only machine sew the zipper part and hand sew it to the main purse. The sling is also machine sewn.

Macaron Bag Charm

Finally found time to do some sewing. Dug up my sewing stuff collection and found materials I can used to make a Macaron Purse.

I decided to add lace to the inside and turned it to a ring holder instead. Then I attached a chain and turned it to a bag charm.

Although I didn't plan how I wanted the Macaron Purse to be, I pretty glad with the outcome.

It can fit 2 to 4 rings (depending the carats LOL) ;)

Ruffle Skirt

I remake my daughter's out-grown ruffle skirt into a dress by sewing a singlet to the skirt. I added some ribbons and buttons to the top so it wouldn't look so plain.

Top: The remake ruffle dress
Bottom: The original ruffle skirt 2 years ago.

Reversible Bag

I made a boxed pleated reversible bag. One side of the bag is red with polka dots and lace. The other side is plain white with 3 fabric buttons using the same fabric from the reverse side.

I sewed D-rings on both sides of the bag, It can be used to hang a wristlet for the D-ring inside the bag. Whilst a brooch can be pinned on the fabric loop holding the D-ring so it will not damage the bag.

Polka Dotted Flower

I sewed this flower brooch to match a bag I made recently.

Cuppy Zipper Pouch

A simple hand sewn full lined zipper pouch, which I made for my daughter's teacher who shared the same birthday as her. I stamped and painted a cupcake on one side of the pouch and sewed a little bow to the other side with the words, Happy Birthday, next to it.

Flex Frame Purse

Hand sewn full lined coin purse with a flex frame. It's made, on behalf of my son, for his male trainer. Hence, I made it plain and simple but big enough to kept a bunch of keys.

Polka Dotted Wristlet

I made this fully lined wristlet to match a bag that I have not completed. The zipper and hardware used here are recycled from some old and unwanted items.

Blue Clouds

I find the clouds on the Happy Girl Bag I made too plain and decided to paint it. Now the bag looks more complete.

Happy Girl Bag

A full-lined bag with zipper for my daughter to carry her Chinese enrichment books as the bag provided by the school is too big and clumsy for her.

The flowers on the front are iron-on felt. I sewed a red fabric button as the sun. The sun-rays and the clouds were sewed on as well. (I coloured the clouds the next morning after I post this.) The girl's face and hair were sewed before I made it into a button. After which I pleated her hair. Her arms and legs are sewed on too. I sew a name-tag to the back of the bag.

Watch Strap

I have a vintage watch which belongs to my late grandma. The leather strap that comes with it was worn out and broke. I haven't been able to get a replace for it. Hence, I made one with Velcro to make it easy to put on.

Lacy Demin

Sometime back I bought a dress that was too long for me. I removed a section of it so I could wear it. I kept the remaining part and used a bit of it to made these hair accessories.

The rest of it was used to make this 2-way wear for my daughter. I sew the lacy on the top to the back so it won't fall off.

Me & my daughter in matching outfits. :)
